Sporza reports that ASO allows 8 riders per team in Paris-Nice to give as many riders as possible the chance to compete.

I guess that means they're not thinking about cancelling the race for now.

If the government doesn't decide to ban all outdoor public events as in Italy, I don't see why they would cancel.

Now CCC pulls out too.
Otoh, there are rumours that Circus-Wanty have been given a late invitation.

DQ changed their line up for the race, because of the Covid-19 virus, it is now:

Alaphilippe
Lampaert
Bennett
Stybar
Asgreen
Jungels
Moerkoev

(Devenyns, Cavagna and Declerq are out and riding GP Monsere + GP Denain instead)

man what a lot of talent is in that line up. Is the thinking that they need to give as many of their strongest riders as possible the chance to race in any prestigious race that actually takes place?

The CN article about it said the reason was their top classics riders need to get in the racing, so with no TA they moved them to PN to be prepared for, I guess, Ronde and Roubaix.

Edit: Zinoviev beat me to it!

That is an awesome lineup. Imagine the chaos this is causing for bookies and setting their odds . . . perhaps they make it up by taking bets on COVID-19 over/under (apologies if that's too much joking on a serious matter).

I saw something that said ASO is scrambling to send invites to other teams to cover the WT teams that have withdrawn.

So this is actually taking place? That's a bit surprising to me. But good! I've lost track of who's going, but regardless it's hard to look past Roglic here.

Looks like they will do it. I wish for them all to safely finish, as such good news would be more than welcomed now. If the virus will win the GC, then i feel it is over, for a couple of months, when it comes to professional cycling.

And now Jumbo is out aswell.

I'm abit sad. I've been looking forward to the new season for so long and now the Italian races are cancelled and the Northern classics seem in jeopardy aswell.
