I don't know I just feel like he hasn't make actual progression since 2023. In general I expected more from him. It isn't a dig, I like him, but at some point you gotta wonder if his potenital is just not that or if something needs to change.

I think it's not that he hasn't progressed, but that others have progressed as much, or more, as him.

I see how a lot of people confuse a riders results with whether he had improved. But a rider can improve only relative to himself. Ever.

So logically he should have improved, since people like Bernal does the same numbers as he did when he was a GT winner.

Everyone progresses nowadays. When people talk about progression they obviously mean relatively to the competition.

Not a lot of opportunities for him to win, as he will not likely beat the likes of Ganna, Evenepoel, Tarling... or even Ayuso, Pogacar etc on more hilly terrain. But every stage race has one or two breakaway stages. And if he really focussed on that, he could really be one of the best at it.
