I don't think people were saying OPQS should chase immediately, they were objecting to the notion that they could gamble all on Van Keirsbulck. As long as the breakaway doesn't have a realistic chance of winning, of course OPQS shouldn't chase, but if it has, then it's a matter of who bluffs the most.
