Great race! I think GVA would probably have won without the puncture, he had the best position and looked comfortable, churning the biggest gear. Deserved result for Etixx as well though, they used their men well in the break and Trentin did enough to split the group on the first climb.

Benoot is the GVA 2.0...so strong all the time but misses right groups..

Probably a bit too early to conclude that, don't you think? They guy is a neo-pro. His performances so far are already exceeding whatever one could expect of him this early in his career. :)

Well I expected him to do a great season, since following him since juniors :D 5th at Ronde was the only out of nowhere result since the length of that race, otherwise other results are not really that amazing from what he was showing racing last few years..

Anyway, his last win is 3 years now....he was strongest rider in most U23 races he raced yet he didnt get a single win last year, with LBL U23 being frankly most absurd way to loose a race... he had few opportunities to win this year and also tactically lacked..no win in 3 years isn'ta great sign so i will worry no matter what

So happy for Trentin he's a really classy rider: very fast which didn't stop him from taking the race to others on the climbs and then has the killer instinct to lead out and win the sprint.

I'm really hoping he can break through in the Ettix monuments teams. I think he could be a great option for Flanders and he definitely seems to have the stamina for these tough races.

Chapeau :)

He is already in that team as a strong domestique but with guys like Boonen, Stybar and Terpstra it is hard to get a result.
