Patterberg Renovation

Hi,

I am looking for all information regarding the Patterberg renovation at the beggining of the century. I know the story of the climb, why it was abandoned and why renovated, so I am mostly interested in all technical information and who wanted to do so, who paid, and all the interesting facts. I found infromation that the stones came from Poland.

I've already contacted Ronde organisers and waiting for response.

So, can anybody help me?

Are you sure it's not the Koppenberg? Paterberg was only built in the 1980s.

There were thoughts of renovating the Koppenberg, Oude Kwaremont and the Kapel Muur and turn them into two way tarmac/Asphalt climbs.

That would be quite an asphalt job given that it's about 30km distance between them and the Muur is closed to traffic - the final Kapelmuur section was only added in 1981 to take you up past the Chapel at the summit.
