The new and hopefully improved version.
Rules:
You need to enter your early season predictions before the start of the first race, that is until the start of Omloop on February 26.
Later entries will not be taken into account.
You don't need to predict every race, however it makes sense to at least give it a desperate try, so you have a chance to get a point for that race...
I don't promise to update the standings soon after each race has happened. I may or may not. If people feel I'm too slow I'm encouraging the players of the game to take over or do the up-to-date math. I won't be mad...
There will be a winner after Lombardia and they will get a surprise present.
There will also be an early season predictions winner, but they won't get a present.
Your pre-race predictions need to be entered until the start of the specific race.
Please note that for better handling from my side I want you to enter your predictions as following: Copy the table with the races that I will put in the second post! Enter your early season predictions until the start of Omloop. To enter your pre-race predictions please edit your original post and enter your pre-race prediction in the same table.
These are the races you can predict and the number of points that can be gained for each correct prediction; that is if your early season and your pre-race prediction is correct, you will get the mentioned number of points both times.
As you can see you get 2 points for monuments, WCRR and Grand Tours, 1 point for the other named races. I am leaving out the green, white and polka dot jersey this time. (I think the battle for green will be more exciting this year, but maybe someone will put up a specific Tour stages prediction game and that for instance could be a place for predicting the jerseys as well.)
For the "Tour de France podium place (1) and (2)" you name two riders other than the already predicted winner who you think will be on the podium - no matter the placing! It could also be the winner. So if you say Roglic for podium place (2) and he ends up as the winner you will get 1 point. If you name Tim Declerq for podium place (1) and he ends up third, you will also get 1 point. If you predict Cian Uijtdebrooks as the winner, but he only gets third, you will also get 1 point. If however he then does indeed win the whole thing you will get 2 points.
I am not open for any other races or rules, sorry, I won't have the time this year, so I'd like to keep things rather simple and not debated. If I make a mistake however, please feel free to correct me and if there should be a mistake in my calculations PLEASE CONTACT ME.
Anyway, have fun!
And start entering your predictions (you can still edit the early season prediction in your table until the start of Omloop)!
Edit: Of course I needed to edit the post already because I had forgotten there are World Championships in cycling... sorry.
