Had a good spring last year too.
And I don't think his performance was particularly stunning tbh. It looked better cause most other riders were pathetically conservative or just mediocre.

Weirdly enough, one of the first things I thought after the race was "this race could do with an extra climb or two to freshen things up" since, as Parrulo said, there are too many helpers able to be there at the end now, it's keeping it together far too long.

Maybe I'll have a look at a relief map of the area over the coming days and come up with something.
