highmodulus said:Actually it was my idea. Spend some time in the Politics Only forum. With a dedicated Doping Forum mod to match what we have had for PO, we would be able to evolve the rules to allow the more aggressive PO style posting. Obviously there would have a spot of the curve where someone was well over the line.
But if you look to PO, a certain "code" or specialized language has developed. Hopefully, a similar situation will develop. Of course, this is just a proposal or just in the concept stages. There is downsides shown to the PO model (poster burn out, groundhog day style posting patterns, and when things get out of hand then tend to really combust pretty spectacularly). The basic rules would apply, keep the doping stuff in the appropriate forum, no over the top personal attacks, no crazy profanity.
Seeing someone was curious enough to start a thread, I hope I did not step on CN's toes by answering. I am curious to get your thoughts on the concept. And yes, I am the son of satan put on this earth to oppress the righteous- sorry about that, genetics win out I guess. If possible, I would like stick to the topic.
Feel free to PM me here on other stuff. I will try to read it all.
Cheers-
BroDeal said:The funny thing about RBR is that you can pick an old thread at random from the doping forum and nearly all the posters with anything interesting to say in the thread are marked as banned. Since the banned posters also provided most of the value to the pro racing forum, that forum is now worthless as well. Toolhand completely destroyed both forums.
Now it looks like they are making a pathetic attempt to rebuild what he ruined.
EDIT: LOL!!1! They already deleted the thread. That breath of fresh air certainly was a short one.
