Removing GXP BB

I'm new to this forum, so I apologize if there already is a thread for this topic somewhere here.

Anyway, I'm removing my GXP bottom bracket to replace it with another, but I've run into some problems. I'm using a GXP and Howitzer-compatible tool, those big cups if you know what I mean. After removing the crank-arms, and with them the spindle, I tried to get the bb off. The threads are BSA. The drive-side of the BB went off really easily, and I turned it WITH the clock, towards the front-end of the bike, to get it off. But the non-drive side part is stuck, really stuck. And then I started to wonder if I'm pushing it the wrong way. It's supposed to be turned WITH the clock, towards the chainstays, like the drive-side part, to loosen it, right? Or should I turn it towards the front-end of the bike? Any help greatly appreciated.

The non-drive side cup in a BSA bottom bracket should be turned toward the front of the bike, or "anti-clockwise". If it were an Italian BB you would be doing it right, but in this case you are just tightening it even more by turning it clock-wise.
