I wouldn't expect Rigo at the startline of the ITT at the Worlds, but TTT and RR he is well amongst the favorites. To take part in each 3 races and go for a medal will be too hard.

Probably a bit like Rui Costa in the Tour who battled for some days but then it all got worse in one day. Rui Costa was ''lucky'' to turn really bad on the rest day though...Escarabajo said:I thought he was OK yesterday.

I've struggled with asthmatic bronchitis for five or six days now and today it was as its worst

I also have noticed he usually rides with his shirt unzipped many times, unlike Quintana. Even in heat Quintana never opens the zipper. Remember that they are from Colombia and they train in Colombia all the time. They can be weaker than Europeans at times, so we shouldn't be doing the same things. Cold weather and weather changes lower our defenses. Why help it.
It could be something stupid but I felt the need to say it and something that I have been watching for a while in Rigo. Similar thing happened in his Tour 2011.

He has been hit by "Spanish Sereno". LOL.TomasC said:You're right of course, you don't mess with sereno.

Thanks for sharing. My mom always bugged me about it.
There is a Colombian stand up comedian who made fun of it. The CD name is "La Pelota de Letras" by Andres Lopez. He made fun of all these colombian myths.
So it looks like team management told him to retire and he continued. He did want to finish the stage.cineteq said:OPQS will decide tonight or tomorrow morning if Uran continues in the race. He sort of hinted he'll be a DNS.

Rigo says he was given the order by the team to quit the race when he hit the wall but he loves the sport too much to do it. I guess that was in the heat of the moment stuff but now they will decide with a cool head whether it's wise to continue. I'm thinking he won't take the start tomorrow.
