My suspicion is that because his suspension was issued about the same time Operation Puerto broke, with his name in it the ledger, he in essence had the book thrown at him.

the only reason I can thnk for him to try something was because it was during the TT which we know he isn't great at.

Does seem strange he got a 4 year ban when Sella is back racing already.
