Route Changes

I think the Tour needs to be harder. I hate how the last two tours have been decided by perhaps three days of racing. There should be more mountain top finishes, more hilly breakaway stages, like the 2011 Giro. If it hadn't been for Contador, the race would have been incredibly close. Every day brought new excitement and little known names were able to step up and claim a stage win. I am a huge Mark Cavendish fan, but don't you think it gets a little old when he wins five stages? Instead why not have little known riders put in a gutsy ride like Bart de Clerq, or riders who are always racing hard, but just somehow don't win races like Eros Capecchi? I say the Tour needs to be revitalized. Let it become more like this last Giro, the "Hardest" grand tour yet. I think it would add a great deal of publicity to the sport, a change from the generic results we have currently. Most of the stages are won by either Cavendish, Petacchi, or all the GC contenders finish a long day in the mountains together. I am sick of it.

I have seen a few of this already its getting cliche. Stop comparing the giro to the tour it will never happen.

Also, does this mean you aren't going to partake in the PlayVelo Fantasy Tour? I know you are 700+ points behind me right now and I'm okay if it stays that way. Down with the tour! Rabble rabble rabble!!
