Gracias. What a load of completely uninteresting questions and answers. Only a few were alright (I'm surprised he even answered the one about Salzburg). The only interesting thing he said is that he isn't doing Lombardy, which we already knew, but it appears there's no room for a change of plans.

I suppose the only one worth asking would be weather he is going to do the Giro next year as he has suggested before.

Anyone ask that?

lol I actually asked that. He said he'd like to do the Giro again, but he doesn't know when.

Which number?

He is dismissive as usual in a lot of these questions i see.
In the tour every day he would just answer every question with "Im happy, every day is differnet, i hope i do well" etc.

Here first question i see is "who will win la vuelta " and he replies " i dont know, lots of people can win"

He also answers the Valverde 2006 question with "it would have been different"

The Hitch said:
Yeah damn it indeed.

what did you ask though. Something evil that would not get answered anyway, i suspect;)
Ok, officially over now. Mine was the last question they accepted, but one of the six that came too late to be answered. It was a long question, too. Wasted time. Gah.

It wasn't evil or clinicky (except in a very indirect way). I asked him if he didn't think he was naturally (wink wink) more suited for one-day races rather than for GTs, and what made him focus on stage races when he sucked at them at the beginning of his career but he was quite fast and punchy in the hills. Then I asked if it would have been different if he had been Italian or Belgian.

Most of his answers are very trite, but I bet he had little interest in doing this chat anyway

hrotha, what does echar de jovi mi proffesion - mean?

Or is that hacer spelt wrong?
It means he has the spelling skills of the average capuchin monkey.
-> "porque he hecho de mi hobby mi profesión" -> "because I've turned my hobby into my job"

Reading more into this im beginning to think they hired somebody to answer the questions for him.

Every answer is so vague. Even your question nick its just " yeah i want to do the Giro not sure when". Then the next question might you swap schedules with Anton- "yeah its a possibility".

I recall a pretty detailed interview with Samu in one of the cycling mags regarding his late success in the grand tours. His response was that he lacked the confidence to do well in them and when he eventually did well in the Vuelta one year it bolstered his confidence. One of the Euskaltel team officials commented that when he had his initial success in the Vuelta it prompted him to give the Tour classification a try. Making the top 10 in the Tour gave him the confidence to try to win the Vuelta the following year (2009) and that near success bolstered his confidence more, spurring him to see if he could make the Tour podium in 2010. This team official, whose name escapes me, seems to think that had Samu focused on just the Vuelta after his initial success there, he believes he'd maybe have won it in 2010. It was probably the most in depth English language article on Sanchez that I've ever read.

I doubt it was ride because I am a regular suscriber to that and don't remember them doing such a piece. They recently did a piece on Rodriguez and the history of the vuelta but nothing actually on Sanchez if my memory is correct.
