On the site "Salite" I just noticed that Scanuppia is no more the hardest climb in the database...
The new hardest is this one:

NOTE: the description says it's all tarmac

It isn't as long, but I give you Baldwin Street in Dunedin, New Zealand:

Some years ago some drunken uni girls (Dunedin is a big student city) decided to ride down Baldwin St in some wheelie bins, let's just say the result was not good.

Let's say it's a wall more than a climb... 350m?

TBH, I just wanted an excuse to post the profile :p

:D
The part about the drunken uni girls was interesting though... I could go study there now that I know it. ;)

Never ridden it in my life and I haven't actually been to Dunedin either. Would require an MTB to get it!

IF I lived close to a wall like that, I would try it out a couple of times, even if I have to walk with my bike :p

Steepest hill in the world if i'm not mistaken, right?

In the undiscovered climb thread, jobiwan posted a profile of a hill in Los Angeles which is 300m and never goes under 30%. Posted a picture too.

Edit: Here it is

If the Tour of California ever goes back to LA, I would suggest the Fargo Street Hill! If nothing else but a good show for the public!

Not even .2 kilometers, but tons of fun!! :p

It's made for bike racing, both up and down! Incidentally and rather sadly one of the girls died. I can't imagine it's possible to get up that with 39x23 unless you're Sergey Honchar or someone.

If for some reason Purito decides to spend Christmas on the other side of the world and in the Southern Hemisphere and chose Dunedin, I bet he will go for a bike ride or two up there.
