Almost all the important sprinters are lined up.The only sprinters missing for this type of sprint are Ewan and Bouhanni. The biggest favorite will be Kittel bacause it is a panflat race.

In the name of God, Allah, and all that is holy in all religions including all nine million deities of Shinto, couldn't you have censored the title? Normally this forum isn't NSFW, and I nearly had a coronary when I saw this!

You could have a better race by lining up 200 riders, karate chopping through the collarbones of 20 selected at random, and then having a 1km race between the other 180.

This race basically only exists to injure people.

Cancellara is riding it, as is Boonen, Kristoff, Boom, Rowe, Stannard, so you would assume there is some reason for that and they probably considered the risk and know what they're doing.

It's that time of the year again. When everyone is too excited for PR after an exciting RVV so the UCI shows us another one day race in between to remind us we shouldnt get too excited for every race.

There's a new run-in to the finish this year, plus down from 25 teams (200 riders) to 22 teams (176 riders). Both to try and improve safety.

For the two Belgian teams Ettix and Lotto this is a chance to save (part of) their spring season, with Kittel and Greipel. However Kristoff and Viviani are in good shape too. I'm surprised the favorites for Sunday are riding. It remains to be seen whether they'll play a major role today.

Fewer teams is good, but that looks like they have added a greater than 90 degree corner from a main road into a narrower one in the final?! Surely that's a receipt for disaster....
