The thing with Mandy Andy is, if he actually raced more, and he also whined less, he would be much more appreciated, and not just by strange fanboys and folks who only tune in 3 weeks of the year.

Don't worry the prep is on track:

Lance Armstrong ‏ @lancearmstrong
Just rode the entire #IMFrance course w/ Andy Schleck, Yves Cordier, and @johanbruyneel. Technical, lots of climbing/descending, hard!

Well yeah, because not trying earlier was a mistake that cost him the Tour.

He couldn't do it every day- in a row ( he looked cooked on the Alpe D Heuz finish ). Besides he is better in the Alps than the Pyrennes.
But yes he should have made more attacks in the Pyrennes.

If Andy made it to the finish with that group then surely this should be in the 'appreciation' thread :D

Given this is the depreciation thread, I thought a bang on comment from another thread would be good ...

That's the tragedy of this situation. You and Andy still think he's getting results, or the sort of results he should be getting.

Between Andy, and yesterday Frank (AGR "one of the strongest"???), I am beginning to think these two are believing everything they are feeding the fanboys. The legs need to do the talking.

Frank at least is the funniest of the two : "i was one of the strongest" he should be chosen as the stand up comedian of the peloton...

Apparently not much longer from what it seems like with Applbaum getting fired and all ... other members of the forum would probably have more details on this

His skill at whining is impressive ..oh wait should this be said at the appreciation thread?

I was going to say I appreciate the additional material he's readily provided but I too was not sure where to give my thanks.:p

His brother Andy seemed more upset than anything else and, almost inevitably, he was less than pleased with the way the rest of the teams rode. "Why does nobody attack?" said Andy Schleck. "Why does everyone ride for second place, eh? Because, if you don't attack and [Joaquim] Rodriguez gets to the bottom of the Mur in the front group that's what you will be racing for, second place.

Yeah, why do you do that Andy?

Ps: Evans beat him in 2010 and Gilbert in 2011, so he's not really unbeatable.

Well at least he cares about FW. Which im happy about. Too often Schlecks have dismissed these races as small. Andy said himself he doesnt feel like hes own a big race - blatant f u to Liege.

I would much rather have him upset that things didnt go well in Fleche, and try, than roll in 10 minutes behind and smile that its all for the tour and these races are below him.

On top of that his brother dismissed his teammate's offer.
Horner:
"I was riding beside Frank when he punctured and I asked him if he wanted my wheel, but he said no, he would wait for the mechanic, which, to be honest, is often the best thing to do – at least the mechanic knows how to put a wheel in quickly and how to do the wheel skewer up properly," laughed Horner.

33.33% actually.
Haha, I meant he was 100% right about other teams riding for 2nd, and only about that. So yeah, the percentage does go down. :D

Phil and Vanendert probably thought they could win. Although Vanendert's aim was the podium, sensible thing for someone who's inexperienced as team leader. Blame the WT system I guess, Lotto needs them points, so they need to play it safe.
