My new winter bike needs a bit more setback. The post is 31.6 and the existing one has about 20 setback. I have measured and I could use almost 1 to 1.5 cm more for a comfortable position. I have a Ritchey on now which is only putting me about 5cm behind the spindle w a 120 stem. I have found that FSA(kforce) has a post but it's 150-200 bucks, would like something cheaper..any suggestions are appreciated

I'm also looking for a seat post with more set back but the ones I found were too expensive - my LBS suggested a different saddle, one with more fore-aft adjustment, but it was not my style.
I'm going to a large bike swap in a few weeks and wil be looking for a seat post there.

Given you have a 120mm stem and claim to need up to 35mm seatpost setback I would suggest the frame is too small for you and that the top tube needs to be longer.

Deda 100 seatposts seem to have more than 25mm setback. There are plenty of brands on the market. Just go onto a cycle web-shop.

Or due to really long femurs, you need a frame with a far slacker seat tube angle than the one you have...or both.

That's my thought too. You're trying to move your seat back quite a bit, which is going to dramatically change the way your bike feels because you're going to be much farther behind your bottom bracket. It may feel like you're pushing forward on the pedals, rather than down.

Before investing in a new seat post I'd check the fit of other, larger frames to see how they feel.

Having said that, I've always been a big fan of Thomson posts. They have one that has quite a bit of setback.

OR he is just genuinely big/long in the torso

I have a 140mm stem, a 25mm set back post AND still ride a slack frame (by modern standards (71.9) with a 595mm TT. Yes, it is custom
(...and I am relatively short in the Torso for my 195cm)
