If you're into pain you should try the Epilady then - it takes only half the time of tweezing, but is at least three times as painful!

(Can't believe my mom actually gave me one of these one xmas back in the 80s. I suppose this demonstrates how much she hates me. )

Rite Aid has a knock off of the Gillette Fusion for about a third of the cost. I'm tempted to try it and see if its close to as good...

Are you talking just about the replacement blades? I've found that the Rite-Aid blades still irritate my skin. But CVS sells their own five bladed razor and blades and is very good.

ETA: Make sure you dry off your razor and take it out of the shower/bath so the blades don't sit in water. That will make the blades last longer.

Actually we're not. It's just that the hair is more visible.

I would say it takes only about two minutes if you shave them about every two days. But nothing beats the feel of legs shaved in a hot bath! Add a few votive candles, and you're set. Am I right, or am I right?

Only by about a paltry few 100,000 or so (the average is about 5 million) and even then it depends on the person. So yes, that is what I am saying.

I'm glad you posted that they irritate your skin because I was going to go by Rite Aid on the way home from work. I assume that Gillette Fusion does not irritate your skin?

No, the ones I tried were just replacement blades for a Gilette Mach3. Here's the one from CVS:

I started using a safety razer and it's a good shave, considerably less expensive, and there's less waste. The only down side is that I can't get in a hurry.

I bought a Vikings Blade, Vulcan that is available directly from them, or on Amazon.

I usually have one day every year, when I decide that I'm gonna be all fancy, and lady-like, and shave (my legs, obviously; I'm not a bearded lady)

Nowadays I get bothered only in the summer when it's hot and I'm wearing shorts and am actually exposing my legs, otherwise I equally couldn't be arsed. (In the winter I let the fuzz grow because I get cold easily.)

Nice! I swiped one of those safety razors from my dad when I was a teen and I really liked it, it worked very well!

Speaking of my dad I have to shave his face these days because he's no longer able, I've had to do a fair amount of experimenting because shaving your own face is different from shaving someone else's. I've found for a quickie shave the Norelco OneBlade is adequate, and for a thorough shave I like the Gilette Fusion sensitive skin shaving gel and the GilletteLabs razor. The latter will give you a nice, close shave with the least amount of nicks.

That one day is always in the spring/summer.

I've never heard of Cremo but just ordered some from Amazon, thanks for the tip!

I still swear by the GilletteLabs razor because shaving my old dad's face I need the maximum amount of flexibility and maneuverability, which GilletteLabs provides. But I'm always up for finding a good shaving creme/gel because I love to do a close, quality shave that will last for more than just a day!
