Should Women's Cycling have a lingerie Version as in American Football?

I propose cycling should have a similar division. Great way to build up the recognition of our sport.

Before anyone gets too upset, this is actually pretty good satire in that it's not far from the truth. Female cyclists are often grossly sexualized in the way photographers present them in cycling journalism, the ways they appear in promotional and commercial media (like calendars), and the way an alarming number of posters on this forum react to any mention of them.

The obvious thread to refer to is over in General--though it's mostly, um, amateur cyclists, I think--but go take a look at the discussion of the new Rabobank kits in the new kits thread. Or Google any number of female cyclists. It doesn't take long for those bikinis (or less) to start showing up in the promotional merchandise.

According to that thread everyone's a winner with sexy cyclists. For me if they look best in the usual cycling kit. Anything else just looks stupid.
