Hi all This is my first post. I would love some feedback from anyone who has or is familier with one of the above bikes.
I am an xc mtber who is looking to get a new road bike for training & so for have narrowed down my choice to one of the above. Both bikes have carbon frames, the Trek runs 105 gearing while the Specialized runs Sram Apex.
Price of each is not the isssue as only $100 difference.
Any thoughts would be appriciated. Thanks.

Wrong subforum

Haven't ridden them myself, but I have 2 buddies riding a Tarmac SL2 and 1 with an SL3, very stiff bike according to them; they're happy about it :)

specialized lighter stiffer better geometry much better frame than trek. that said shimano 105 is better than sram apex imo....

Frame wise: Go with Specialized all the way. the equivalent of the tarmac SL2 on Trek is probably 5.5
Gear Wise: Shimano 105 is more reliable - SRAM works ok for a short period of time before it begins to falter awfully
