Nairo looked sprightly, here’s hoping for a Chris Horner style caution to the wind season.
There's a new mutant on the block, it could get interesting.
@Dazed and Confused in fine form living up to his username in the Giro stage 1 thread.
Now, just to be clear; I always live up to my username! Hard not to. Of course, I could attempt to dye my hair "raven black" using some shoddy dye, and then my hair would end up green, and I'd have to have it all cut off - which carries less of social stigma in 21st Century Denmark than it did in late 19th Century Canada - and I really don't have time for that...
Sticking up to my username is something I involuntarily do all the time as well.
But what I don't understand: what is wrong with green hair? Imagine how well you could blend in with the green lands of Denmark with the right dress and green hair. You'd be invisible!
Fehler is mistake and Rechtschreibung is orthography or mainly spelling.I don't even know what your username means... "fehler" is cycling in... some language, right?
Nothing wrong with green hair. I just don't want green hair!
And unlike a certain literary heroine, I'm very happy with my red hair.
(Also, I don't want to be invissible. Sounds dangerous when riding a bike...)

It means spelling mistake. I thought that could be deduced by my comment about Illmaestro being the true master of it, oops.
I might have gotten it mixed up with another word...

even in English (right-scribe-failure) it is scarcely beyond deduction.Thing is: Ret/Recht-skrivnings/schreibung-fejl/fehler.
Should be obvious to a Dane, yet I never considered it either...
Fahrrad (= wheel to drive with) means bicycle. So if you take enough clinic relevant substances, it's explainable how you'd mix that up, starts with an F as well.
Just an update on this, is this vwpe's twitter account? Pretending like he's been at some beach in Marbella when you see he's clearly just spent the last several hours losing the plot having a go at Visma. It's all great stuff. My favourite personality quirk of that generation of poster (VM, Vwpe, Mou) was how they'd finish an argument by telling us how they were 'off to the beach' or how they had 'got important and cool things to do' as though they didn't want to waste any more time arguing with losers on a cycling forum. Then you check the thread the next day and after telling everyone they were leaving they had clearly just carried on furiously posting for another 6 hours.
I already had that guy and his alt blocked.Just an update on this, is this vwpe's twitter account? Pretending like he's been at some beach in Marbella when you see he's clearly just spent the last several hours losing the plot having a go at Visma. It's all great stuff.

???So... if some of you people based in Århus see a red haired woman on a blue bike come screaming down Ringvejen later this summer, it might be me.
I just bought a new bike... without pedal brakes... I'm kinda scared... I've never had a bike with the back-wheel brakes being controlled my hand...
???
Pedal brakes (aka coaster brakes)..... now thats scary - in so many ways. Tho I did run into a mountain biker out here on a fully rigid single speed with just the coaster brake. Maximum minimalist.
Yes but..... the pedals have to be in the right position. And its hard to exert max braking when youre seated. But youre more likely to skid if your standing. And you can overcook them on really long descents. It all seems fine for flat gentle riding. But anything beyond that...?I've always used pedal brakes, just... turn your leg backwards, and you brake.

Riding around Denmark's high mountains with JonasSo, perfect for just riding around in Denmark...
BTW, I kinda feel like "turn your leg backwards" might... provide a slightly wrong mental image...
Is that a Scandinavian thing? In Belgium you see this on kids bike, but eventually it phases out completely before they turn 12I've always used pedal brakes, just... turn your leg backwards, and you brake.

Isn‘t that also a Danish thing, at least on this forum? It appears it's a Danish thing.
Just seems more logical to me; locomotion controlled by your legs.
I mean... when you're walking you don't brake with your hands either! Do you?
Do you?
