does anyone know how to create a segment on strava i cant seem to find anything to click on that lets you do it. do you need to be a premium member

You do not need to be a premium member, go to the ride which you want to create a segment in and click the blue "create a new segment" button right below the rides profile. This will take you to the create a segment page and you use the slider above the map to map out the segment. you then just click next if there are any segments already there it will display them, but if you want another segment there click the create my own segment bubble. Then you name it, and then click create.

Easiest way is to ride the segment you want to create and then use the create segment button. Move the red and green buttons accordingly using the cursor on the track you have ridden. To really fine tune it use the arrow keys on the keyboard. Also utilise the street view to pin point both start and finish points. Hope that helps.

thanks guys i obviously wasnt looking closely enough
