So i just got my R7 MRD Absolute fork and i am not impressed with the red liquid coat and lame subtle graphics. Anybody have any experience with stripping the pain off magnesium fork lowers? Magnesium is prone to corrosion and i am wondering if getting rid of paint will compromise its corrosion resistance.

It would be nice get rid of some weight too.. the thing came in weighing 200grams heavier then advertised.
