Super slow performance when in Post Reply mode

Sorry if this is a duplicate or a known issue, I looked back 5 pages in this forum sub-section and saw nothing.

When I click the "post reply" in a thread and get to the newreply.php page, the site gets just ridiculously slow and unresponsive. I've resolved to writing all my posts in notepad and then just copy-pasting the text in, because writing in original reply mode would just take forever.

a) I there something I can do about it?
b) Is it just me witnessing this problem, or it's common?
c) Should it somehow be common, I assume something should be done about it aye?

do you mean that your typing gets very slow? If that's so, I think it's more a problem of your browser. I never experienced that. The site has currently lots of problems, but not that one :D

1) I mostly use the quick reply button.

2) When I use the Post Reply button (now), I don't have any problem at all.

This must be some Murphy's law. I had this problem for days with all my posts, including 30 minutes before I made this thread when I again had to write everything in notepad. So I finally decided that it's enough and I will report it. Made this thread and now suddenly everything works like a charm, testing in number of locations and nowhere no problems. And I don't think I changed anything on my side of things here within that time - no browser updates, reboots or additional activities change of any kind.

I wouldn't know if there was any problem with quick reply because I didn't use it. I never bothered to read the text in it explaining how to activate the thing(it's not really intuitive, but posting this via quick reply now) so I just went with the extra click on "post reply".

So I assume that either:
a) There was some sort of temporary problem which only I noticed cause I'm the only noob who didn't use quick reply.
b) Something on my side of things which I'm not aware off, is effecting me.

I think it's the b)
I always use post reply and never got that problem. And the nature of the problem seems really browser-related to me.

Ok thanks. Next time I witness this kind of problem anywhere, I will see if I can fix it by changing stuff around on my side. I just didn't think of doing that here first cause I'm a member of very many these vBulletin based forums and it was first time for me to have this problem, so I just assumed it's site specific :p
