what do you think about McNulty still being seventh?

There were doubts about Yates being Ayuso's domestique, but today it was Yates who helped him get back into the front group when Ineos attacked.

Yates is already out of the top 10; today he lost time again after working. Meanwhile, McNulty remains in his position.

I remembered Amstel. He didn't work, Pogacar went too early behind Alaphilippe, and McNulty was in that group.
In Liège, he didn't have to work either. And inexplicably, for a moment he started pulling the chasing group, until Remco caught up with his group and the team asked him to stop.

Adam has been criticized on social media for not wanting to help Ayuso, but he's doing it, and today he lost time, probably because of that. McNulty, on the other hand, is well positioned, and it goes unnoticed whether his work as a domestique is better or worse.

I remember I have read this before 🤔

They are all there bar Pogacar. Maybe he will return in 2/3 days.

Does anyone know where is Narvaez?

Is he in the Sierra Nevada? He's not there for some personal reason, or maybe they won't take him to the Tour?

After this Giro, Ayuso will be gone and Del Toro will help Pogacar to win the Tour 2026.
If Del Toro wins the Giro, he won't want to be a domestique either. That's normal.

If he wins the Giro, I think he should change team. Someone who wins a GT and is young can't be a domestique. No matter how loyal Del Toro is to Pogacar, there will be conflict.

By the way, it was very easy to do the Giro-Tour. As always, underestimating Pogacar's achievements.

I really hope they get rid of Ayuso.
We didn't even arrive to the high mountains but this stage already told us he is not good enough to win this Giro. He never showed a great level in the high mountains (multiple climbs). He is stellar in climbs under or around 20 minutes but struggles in real mountain stages so I'm not convinced he can beat Carapaz for example.

I'd add that today's stage was over 200km. Ayuso, on long races, is a rider who does nothing.

Its not even that for me. If you ask me about the top U23 GC riders, I would put Ayuso there. He is talented. But he is just annoying. Ego through the roof without big win yet to back it up. Refuses to work for Pogacar while Almeida or Yates with more claim on a TdF podium have no problem at all. Same story with Del Toro, he sacrifices himself in the races he rides with Pogi, Ayuso avoids the races with Pogi in (see last years Ardennes pullout with no good reason). And the chasing down of Del Toro just fits perfectly in the picture.

So in short - I simply don't like Ayuso and think he is a liability to a team that is anyway full of talent.
