Why exactly? Isn't that Pogacar in a nutshell what we are seeing? you sound like your are surprised?
Nobody is questioning Pogacar, as one of the best race winners on the planet, but one thing is these minor early season races, its another fish the grand tours.

If Pogacar ain't gonna choke yet again as we reach the second half of the tour, then he is the favorite to win it in my book, as he will outsprint Vingegaard 9/10 times..

Its Vingegaard consistency and having that ludicrously high level, also when things get tough in the second half, that made him the best grand tourer on the planet.
So you can save the toilet paper, nobody is shitting themself, as you phrase it..

Minor early season race?

Choking in the second half of a GT? You do realize he won Tour de France 2020 on stage 20, and you do realize that in 2022, he threw the race on Granon on stage 11 and couldn't really recover, and in 2023 he wasnt choking anything but just badly prepared. It is what it is.

The whole jumbo team knows pogacar is stronger than vinge in every single GT hes only way of beating him is if pogacar is not 100% aynthing else has never happend expecially last 2 years were pogacar only increased the lvl gap (no last year tour entering with no prep and riding with a broken wrist im surely dont make anyone the greatest GT rider but run along with that if it makes you happy if anything objectively solidified how strnog pog is cause anyone else in his position wouldnt even be able to enter TDf yet alone ride how he did with a fracture in the wrist..) how is it that its hard for someone to objectively look at easy stuff? I know hes from DK but still.

Ive been saying entire peleton knows this noone can compete with him. They can only compete with him if hes injured or severly limited duo to something.

Being dropped in in gthe biggest race of the year 2021 (winner). 2022, 2023 and losing 7½ min at one stage last year.. = choking,( Im dead, I'm Gone)..

We all hope he will be there in 2024 and can fight Vingegaard and can keep the mojo going in the second half, as otherwise, the race gets boring fast, as they both seem quite a jump over the rest.
But the signs so far looks stellar..Tadej really has been second to none in his races so far and has done it in an extremely impressive style.

I know I shouldn't, but I'll ask anyway. Did they start the TdF 21 with the same goals? What injury did pogi have in 22 that made him not 100%? You pull up the same speech every time, so might as well try to understand what you mean.

I think & also hope Pogacar will take it in 2024, as it will spice the coming years so much if, it ain't just one dude winning 3 years in a row.
My biggest concern is the Giro aspect and to what extent it undermines his Tour, but what a joy to have Pogacar in the Giro (also) - certainly elevates it quite a bit.

I couldn't care less if one or the other wins.. who cares, it got no bearing whatsoever .. I just want some intense cycling...
if a dude I don't know from Slovenia wins TdF for the third time.. or if a dude from Denmark wins the TdF for the 3 time with a massive margin like 2023
It changes nothing for me.
The only thing that matters is the quality of the entertainment, that I'm enjoying while its unfolding, to the point that you look forward and plan for those big mountain stages.

Same scenario when I enjoy F1.. nobody wanna see a dude racing from "start to the end in front" without any aspect of opponents that are challenging " or "risks"..
Why I cheer for the people who dares to take risks in F1,...for a while it was Verstappen I was cheering for, but these years he is synonym with the exact opposite... boring races
but maybe it's me, that don't understand fanhood & this weird aspect of "loyalty" that some people so desperately need put on things to make sense of it all.
- One is good, (fx my team or my man) ergo the opponent is the enemy... whatever its human nature, at least for some, happens in so many things.

I hope Pogacar wins the 2024 TdF and get revenge, but I don't think it's a smart move from him to do the Giro..but explaining one's view.. will likely lead to more personal attacks on this extreme forum
