Now this is a curious position to take, surely?

If you don't necessarily think it's doping then you're trashing BD's achievements simply because they're too good. Total dominance achieved within the rules of the game is surely the ultimate that any coach/competitor can aspire to.

What's BD stand for Bad Dude? Perhaps it's gone beyond doping? How open minded are you really?

Nobody does. Sky should be a special case because they treat themselves as such. They say "We are clean. Trust us, we are clean". That is why they should make some effort to prove it. Yet they make no effort and still expect everyone to believe them. I am not saying they have to do this. I am saying it would increase confidence if they did. They can (and likely will) go on treating the fans the same as every other Tour winning team. No transparency, no effort, nothing. What about Sky means that I should treat them differently?

So are you suggesting that all the other teams are saying 'we are dirty, don't trust us, we are dirty' and as such they have no need to release data?

I'm very open minded, just not very imaginative. What do you think Bad Dude Brailsford is doing to achieve his success?

Are you suggesting he paid Bobridge et al to go on the lash at their early summer training camp and ride slower in the OGs than the World Champs?

If Brad released all his tests of his pro career and there was no marked difference in the parameters between when he was gruppetto to 2012 I think lots of people may well believe they are clean but this hasn't been done...

Other teams don't make many claims. When asked they say "Yeah, sure, we're clean *snort snort". I don't trust them at all given the history of cycling. To me the history, the fact that nothing tangible has changed and the lack of any data means that my default position is that things are still at their historic norm: doping. If Sky want to be treated otherwise by me and people like me, then they should make an effort. If they don't then to me that's just another nail in the coffin of clean cycling. Media constantly shoving this clean team BS down my throat without ever questioning it and asking why exactly Sky deserve anything other than skepticism over their achievements.

Do people here criticising my suggestion think that Sky are cleaner than Lampre? If so, why?

EDIT: snort snort originally read s(n-word) s(n-word), so I changed it.

Apologies.
Wrong assumption.

Surely he could do this regarding his blood values? Or if he didn't want to make them public he could ask someone like Ashenden to look at them on behalf of the fans. I know it can't prove cleanliness however they could find something like 'these blood values make it very unlikely that this rider has used banned blood boosting substances and transfusions etc'

Any race results either in France or even the UK ?

The French racing scene is huge. Doesn't mean that he was a pro.

Although good luck finding results from DN3 (or whatever it was called back then) from the mid 80's.

ASPTT St.Etienne.
It's an amateur team, part of the municipal sports club.
He's never claimed to have been a pro.

Except they were paying him. Is that the definition of a pro or no?

There's nothing they could release that would slake the thirst of some, and pointless to disadvantage themselves, and do something no other team does, or YOU expect any other team to, to prove to YOU they are clean.

Less coffee, more cycling
