I don't think Wiggins should target the Tour, I think he'd do better in the Vuelta.

I feel his successful 2009 Tour was a one-off and that he actually benefited from Astana's "Let's not race to quickly or we'll blow up our old diesel-engine Lance" tactics. I don't think such a race-development will take place again, so I expect him to struggle once again to reach the top 10 in 2011 (and 2012 and 2013 and...)

Decent story over at VN looking back at 2010 and what they need to on a go forward basis. I especially liked the quote on the home page by Brailsford, I can't help to think he knew exactly what he was saying. He said,

"We got all the peas just right, but neglected the steak," says team partner Dave Brailsford

The whole story can be found here,

Peas Pudding it wans't however and they would have over cooked the steak in Brit fashion anyway

You read somewhere... Cool story bro.
Allthough it's probably true your post is just pure speculation and if you read it ' somewhere ' then add the source.
That source is probably someone just like you who said " I read somewhere ".

Didn't say it was fact did I? I'll be sure to moniter all your future posts to make sure you are referencing sources-- speculation is strictly prohibited on this forum.

"And the Tour 2011: a quick verdict?"

"I think the Sky attitude, post the loss of Wiggins, was pretty admirable. They got stuck into the racing, particularly Flecha. Uran showed what he's capable of, even if he had some bad luck and faded towards the end. Geraint Thomas was one of the strongest riders in the race, I felt. "

Pretty impressive to sum up Sky's TDF without mentioning EBH. Some serious overrating of Geraint Thomas there too (with all respect), that guy will have some pressure on him in the future...

exactly. I could already read comments on sky's website saying thomas should go for gc. again he would be a made climber like wiggins.

I really enjoyed reading that, thanks.

WRT Thomas, I think he should go for the classics next year. To be fair to him though, lets not forget that he is only 24, and has showed much more on the climbs than Wiggins had prior to 2009. It isn't totally unrealistic to imagine him going for GC one day.

Enjoyed the article but shocked and stunned at the lack of mention of EBH!

I thought Uran did better than he gave him credit for. I think he's had a pretty good year all round for his ageand experience. Agree that Thomas should go for the classics. Hope he isn't over-hyped and pushed into being a GC contendor before he's ready.
