IMO its time to change the game

It's not that bad, I don't think anyone is giving away their secret picks. Plus it's much worse over at Velorooms, the members there are very open with who their picking.

oh geez, I had left the prep for this game for the better part of a month with the intent of spending the last 3 days intensively putting together my team, but I've got an insane death fever two days ago before I started. Here's hoping that I have a divine vision in my fever dreams. (and that I don't sleep through the day tomorrow and miss the deadline)

Alright, just worked my way through the 27 unread messages. While doing so, I received an additional 14 so in total I've been going through 41 messages. Pretty crazy

Anyway, most of those I've been telling to PM me their changes have gotten back to me (but then a few new teams with a value above 7500 entered). There are still a few dead ends so hopefully the teams will get back to me before the deadline.

Team submitted. I'm not big on giving away who's on what team, but here are some probably non-distinguishable facts about my team (and there are only hours to go so it's not like I'll be tipping someone off anyway):

- 33 riders, 7479 points
- I have 9 Italians, most popular, with 5 Aussies, 3 French and Belgians, and a bunch of countries with 2 and 1
- 8 neo-pros, 5 riders in their second year, 7 riders in their 3rd or 4th year
- 28 of 33 riders are under 30, of the remaining 5, 2 are over 35
- 3 riders who have been suspended for doping violations in the past

I'm sure in a day or two when everyone's teams are revealed we'll all go through in greater detail. Can't wait.

Probably nothing. I don't remember the statistics from last season but I think it's pretty rare that two teams are extremely alike. I would be surprised if any two teams have more than 20 riders in common.

Very happy with my final team, although my selection process was waaaaay more systematic last year.

I have a lot of riders priced around the average - I think that's pretty sensible.

Doubt I'll improve on last year much if at all though - IMO you just need to be really knowledgeable and meticulous and hire the full set of objective bargains, to win.

Going by memory, I think the most I had in common was 22 riders, which is really only 2/3, so not the craziest similarity considering there were 130 teams. I believe Kvinto, who got second place was my second most similar at 21. Fifteen seems about a normal overlap, especially given some more 'obvious' choices. Although this year it felt like there were less obvious choices than last year, but that might just be my perspective right now.
