Oh by the way, I'm sure some minor mistakes will appear in the next days. Just PM me or write them here in the thread.

I also hope that someone (you're listening, Skibby the bush kangaroo?) will do some of that awesome statistics!

Delete the smiley at the end :D

Basically this whole Pinot-thing is because I semi trolled The Hitch and said I would drop a bomb at 00.00 that made a former winner change his team. The bomb was that Pinot is currently injuried, but I don't know how bad it is. It doesn't sound that bad from the news article.

The Hitch said:
How many of you knew that Pinot is injured?

I did and a removed him from my team because of it.

Edit: I consider Pinot to be a gamble at the price he is at and with the added element of a possible injury I chose to keep him off my team especially since I'm already gambling on some other riders as well.

Ah, of course, thanks. :)

Hopefully the injury isn't too bad, and at least the Tour is a ways away.

Tendonitis for Pinot per the link. Just a week ago Madiot used the injury as a metaphor for French cycling's obsession with the TDF at the expense of other races... after confirming Pinot as the only definite starter

My team

Like always I went into total panic and made 4 changes (that I will propably soon regret) in the last hour after the team had been quite stable for weeks until then.

Got too scared to have Evans after the virus-mentionings, and a bad history with the expensive riders in this competition, so he was replaced by Betancourt and then to get the points fitting out went Löfkvist and Kadri also replaced by Matthews and Catteneo. And then also I had been unsure about the last 0-pointer for very long and in the end decided to skip young Ospina for Finetto doing his comeback.

So my final team looks like this:

Gilbert Philippe 1086
BETANCUR GOMEZ Carlos Alberto 669
Tiernan-Locke Jonathan 591
Farrar Tyler 521
Kelderman Wilco 401
Taaramäe Rein 384
Rojas Gil Jose Joaquin 366
Felline Fabio 366
Feillu Romain 349
Breschel Matti 329
Rujano Guillen Jose Humberto 251
Dombrowski Joseph Lloyd 194
Thomas Geraint 181
MATTHEWS Michael 359
Ponzi Simone 165
ARU fabio 162
Millar David 160
Battaglin Enrico 152
Bole Grega 125
Appollonio Davide 102
CATTANEO Mattia 88
Nuyens Nick 99
Cobo Acebo Juan Jose 96
Roux Anthony 80
Hushovd Thor 76
SUTTON Christopher 61
Coquard Bryan 33
Hepburn Michael 24
Schleck andy 20
Van Leijen Joost 6
Kennaugh Peter 0
Bobridge Jack 0
FINETTO MAURO 0

Btw. already regreting not picking Rebellin. Had not been researching his price well enough and thought he was at another price without realy checking. But thats entirely my fault. Hopefully it will not matter too much.

My last last-minute change was Ponzi for Aru. I'd been unsure on Ponzi for a while as he was rumoured to have been named in the initial Padua investigation documents, so when the last few adjusted scores pushed me over the limit I plumped for Aru.

Trentin, Millar, Dowsett, Kruopis, Rollin, Offredo, Vorobyev, Duarte and Guardini were all in my team at some point, so will probably come back to haunt me.

WHo was the guy you said you were surprised not to see his nationality coming up. I thought it was Holler if not Rujano. You have neither

Bole?

Martin Reimer. Looking through the list it seems only 3 other teams have picked him. He costs 0 since he returns from retirement last year. He is likely to be super motivated so as long as he is back in decent shape. As a sprinter on a small ProConti team I think he is likely to at least get a fair share of opportunities even with Ciolek obviously being the main sprinter.

I hope I have a lot of unique picks.

129 teams, 119 have included Andy Schleck (2, apparently, stripped from the team because of being over budget)

So 8 teams who either thought he wasn't good enough value, had forgotten about him, or are second choice teams.

Whats the point of having a second choice team if you dont even have schleck in it?

GILBERT Philippe

Come on Ramunas, make me proud! Navardauskas is by far my riskiest pick, but I have high hopes for the guy.
