Makes me want a BMC even less than I did before, which was below zero already.

I'm all for the bike industry to be co-mingling with others as long as it does some good. As much as I love Colnago bikes, I don't care for the luxury sports car thing that Ernesto started, it's so stupid.

+1 Beppe - think I'm on record here saying the Ferrari tie-in is the only top line Colnago I won't own (ps my new C59 Italia should arrive next week after a 2 month order time, so will post some pics in the bikes you are riding thread).

My guess is the BMC is marketed to people who own Lamborghini cars rather than cyclists - ie anchor them at $300k for a car and then $30k for a bike seems "cheap" ;)

The Lamborghini and Ferrari special models are for the billionaire who needs to get in shape and isn't going to let his (or her) butler buy him anything less than the best. On one hand, silly, but on the other--there are worse things to spend money on. Personally if I had 30K burning a hole in my bank account, I'd be thinking about a custom measured steel bike with the name on the frame the name of the guy who welded it and did the lug work. But when you roll out with your billionaire buddies none of them would know or care who Richard Sachs is.

The luxury sports bikes was as smart move by Colnago. Very Italian. To be seen riding a Ferarri bike, is right up some people who have more money than they know what to do with, is so important.

When i lived in Italy I used to see a elderly woman riding her porsche MTB wearing her white fur with the saddle at the lowest setting making her knees nearly take her head off with every rotation of the pedals.

That BMC is ugly like all BMCs.

Making Ferarri bikes is like shooting fish in a barrel and why not. Luxury goods is a huge business so why not cash in on it. Most of the stuff never sees the light of day.

I understand the business model, just wholeheartedly disagree with it.

I view the overindulgence of some wealthy persons as abhorrent behavior, it's a mental problem.

No idea what BMC's designers have against my eyes. So hideous.

I like the BMC Impec aside from the "lugs" looking too plasticy. [Yup, that's a word.] If they were made from sculpted titanium then that would sick.

The price is totally ludicrous. You are paying a lot of money extra for yellow paint and a roll of leather bar tape.

Carmichael Training Systems. They appear to be killing it in the got-money-and-want-my-hand-held recreational market.

No kidding, coaches in general, particularly long distance ones.."send me your stats', "Looks good, do an additional 30 mintes at 230 watts tomorrow...that'll be $150 please".

Nice - one of my crew had that same blue C59 and it looks really good in the flesh. Mine is TSIT (blu e bianco con tricolore)
