For the record, I watch every stage, every year and I couldn't tell you who's won a polka dot jersey since Virenque.

Much of what goes into the polka dotted jersey is contested before some of the TV coverage begins, to be fair.chiocciolis_calves said:For the record, I watch every stage, every year and I couldn't tell you who's won a polka dot jersey since Virenque.

Let me see if I understand this: you have a photo of the god-awful Mapei jersey as your avatar, but the combined jersey is out?

My post was about the competition more than about the jersey. But yes, I like the classic Mapei jersey and I dislike the combined jersey because I have good taste.chiocciolis_calves said:hrotha said:Please don't oh god no.

I like your Valverde pick. Unfortunately, all we can do is speculate. If they ever brought it back, I think they should revise it. Most of the guys who won it in the past were strictly GC guys. Would be nice is someone like Gilbert or GVA had a shot at it.
