Will he make a goal for the polkadots jersey? Will he win it? We can only hope.

Samu did far more work but then thats expected considering hes the one going for a top 5.

Jelle should have done nothing till the final 500 meters if he wanted the stage. But still, Samu is top 3 climber perhaps and Jelle could easily follow him actually. Samu has a better kick at the end though.

Chapeau to Vanendert for his ride today, he looks in great shape this tour but it is hardly deserving of the title 'epic' (which is a stupid title anyways).

This is the perfect stage for Jelle and Gilbert to go in a breakaway together no? This stage will most likely end in a breakaway and they're both great descenders. It would also help them get points for the green and polkadot jersey. What do you guys think? Send these 2 guys in the break tomorrow?

His DS should've told him not to work for Samu AT ALL. I'm not sure what they were thinking.

Phil said the same, but Phil was riding around without a radio, so who knows...

It is epic if you know Jelle has been riding his *** of first 10 days for Gilbert...

If Vanendert didn't work the attack might have failed. Frank Schleck wasn't far off in the end.

I liked that he worked (naturally as I was supporting Sanchez :p ) but its also good that he just rode with Sanchez and didn't try to maximize chances by being semi smart and then in the end find all plans failed.

Last sentence summarized Schlecks today.

if vanendert hadn't worked he would've finished 8th or something instead of 2nd because they would've brought back or samu tried to attack

I'd love it.
I'm afraid it won't happen, with this being the Tour and all.
But if anybody would do it, it's Vanendert & Gilbert.

Maybe. Guess Sanchez was just more experienced and didn't freak out just cause Frank appeared on the horizon. Nonetheless: great ride by Vanendert, no doubt.

Open one if you want lol. But Jelle has worked a lot more than Thomas so far. That guy from OPL that's leading out Phil... That's Vanendert :)
