Switzerland beat Kazakhstan in Paris-Nice yesterday, so now five countries remain:
Denmark
Kazakhstan
Poland
Portugal
South Africa

By the way, Slovenia, which maybe should have been included in this poll, got their first victory on Wednesday.

Portugal... If Rui Costa is injured there's no hope, we'll win this. At least we can count on Tiago Machado to get 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th... :D

Today Martin Pedersen won what might be the sh*t smallest one-day race on the calender, the prestigious Circuit d'Alger, which means Denmark is off the list.

That leaves Kazakhstan, Poland, Portugal and South Africa left in this mighty important contest.

Surprised Rensburg is still winless at this point.

Argos needs to send him to some small crap races that no one else cares about. ;)

Does that count?

I would have thought it meant races 1.1, 2.1 or better?

I dont think 2.2 and 1.2 races should count for this, its not really pro racing its more the U23 scene with some older guys in between.

It was intended to include .2 races, so it follows the CQ country victory ranking but with national championships excluded. So, only three countries remain: Kazakhstan, Poland and South Africa. They have all been very close to a win already.

Oh... cool! And here I was still waiting for Denmark to take first win...

Similar to the polls for teams and riders, which of these ten countries will be the last to get a victory this year?

What kind of races count? x.2, x.1, x.hc WT? Cos I think most of those countries got victories if u include x.2 races

Alentejo is also a .2 race. For wins in .1 races or higher, Denmark and Portugal are still in the race, along with Kazakhstan, Poland and South Africa. The other five countries are safe.

Just in the last five days, Denmark got 3 wins in .2 races and Portugal got 2.

Ireland now has a win too. I didn't include Ireland in the poll, because last year they got just one (!) win: a stage in the Tour de Bulgaria (.2).

Ok, he'll likely have a better shot at a victory than any Kazakh or S-African. But the Luxies should be one of the contenders here. :D

I am kind of happy that Bobby proved that he can also win with the pros....If we had to wait for one of the Schlecks to win something, it would have been a long journey through the desert...
