What does that have to do with anything? You do know one of my "heroes"(he's not a hero lol) is Contador? The guy that came back from near death to win the Tour? The guy that won the Giro with a fractured elbow?

You forgot to add "The drug cheat currently banned for having clen in his system without any feasible explanation of how it got there?"

This isn't the clinic.

There's no feasible explanation for Cav getting over some mountain stages quicker than the climbers in the front of the race, but don't let facts distract you on the way down to the clinic.

I'm actually in favour of no pushing at all. Just how to police it I have no idea. I like the idea of sprinters really being stretched to stay in contention and then be sprinting against lesser sprinters who are more fresh for their 6 gift wrapped stages per GT. Or climb slow and be knocked out of the race, and all around road cyclists could compete for the win in their absence.
Impact for Cavendish, as this is a Cav thread, he'd improve his climbing and still win 5 stages a GT.

Edit: maybe be more liberal with the time cut, but apply it ruthlessly, punish fans caught pushing as well as the rider, wouldn't have to do it for long before everyone caught on.

Its unenforceable. If I want Wiggins to win the tour I simply get people to go over to the big climbs and give Evans, Schleck, Menchov etc a push up the hill. They get disqualified and Wiggins wins the tour, brilliant.

You could argue that they need to not accept the push, but given the handling skills of these guys they could easily fake fighting you off.

our world champion fetching bottles for the other riders. Something many past champs would have refused to do..

Its good for the leaders of the team to take turns at doing the domestique duties.

Maybe not often, but its good for the team spirit for them to do so when its not going to affect their goals.

major props to Cav, and in a race like the Giro where he actually has some objective no less.
