There was a website www.raceclean.org ... what happened to it ?

There used to be a website raceclean.org ...

Given the current state of USADAs action, a lot of what has gone down was being discussed on there ... seemed very well connected.

Does anyone know the history of the site, why it disappeared ?

I heard 3rd hand that he pulled the pin after numerous people threatened legal action. I think the blow-back from the Todd Wells incident was pretty much the end of the site.

I always assumed that the guy who was running the site posts on here--I have a suspicion of who the poster is, but it probably violates some rule to say "who", so I'll let him out himself. I also know who ran the site (don't know him personally, I just heard the name). The guy seemed to annoy a lot of people, even those who weren't doping. I don't know him, so I don't have an opinion either way.

The guy did drop the dime on many guys who needed it dropped on. I think the problem became fact-checking. Say I didn't like so-and-so, I'd call up XXXX XXXX and say "so-and-so" is doping. Then, it ends up on the site. Maybe I'm exaggerating a little, but my understanding is that's what happened with Wells, and the whole thing blew up. Good intentions, questionable methodology with too much of a shotgun approach.
