I think people need to get some perspective on Sky. Unimpressive TTT, then sprint stages they had no interest in so just stayed out of trouble. Stage 4 BMC and Astana did most of the work chasing the breakaway down, then Sky just hit the climb hard with 3 top climbers working as domestiques. It looked impressive, shelling out JRod and Evans but in reality they didn't actually outclimb them, they just burnt them off riding tempo until they went backwards themselves. Only Uran finished anywhere near the top contenders.

Then JRod smashes them up in the next stage, and Contador pulls back some important seconds. This is an early-season, one week race, so much of the season left but to listen to the talk Sky are literally going to win every race going. The reaction is a little hysterical quite frankly, on the basis of basically two stages. Froome hasn't even won yet

Uran 23 in front of Purito
Henao only 2 seconds behind Evans

They sure didn't outclimb them, and totally went backwards

So you don't rate Henao or Uran as climbers? You couldn't see either of them finishing with Evans or Rodriguez? On the fourth stage of an early-season one week stage race?

Read what I bolded in your post ;)

The point remains they weren't riding for themselves, they were riding as a team, burning themselves up rather than pacing themselves to the top to be in contention. Cotaldo and Henao went backwards, Uran finished up the leaders as he did the last bit of pacemaking before Froome jumped away.

Contador, Nibali and the other Italian chap all amanged to jump away from that train two.

Just trying to suggest perspective on that entire performance. It was powerful but given the individuals involved not unbelievable.
