Too many connections [1040]

I've gotten this error at least 20 times today. If the machines can handle the load it would be good to increase the # of available connections. The traffic will only get heavier as le Tour progresses!

Still happening this evening, when the line at the bottom of the screen tells me that there are as many as 6 people on the forum.
