4. Tadej Pogacar in a close battle
5. Jonas Vingegaard in a close battle

For the beauty of it it's easy to see how Primož Roglič in yellow in Paris would be one for the history books of sport - all categories and disciplines included.

But professional sport is a cruel mistress and dreams rarely come true. Hard data suggests it'll be a fantasy and remain one.

Primoz winning TdF would be beautiful story. I need him winning TdF, Pogacar Vuelta and WC TT, Jonas WC RR and Remco Lombardia. I think that would be good/great result for everyone and great for cycling.

Of course. Most relatable, most 'man of the people', humble background, not middle class or wealthy family, extremely difficult path into professional cycling which involved working as a janitor and selling his motorbike (the fact he even made it is almost miraculous, let alone was successful), mountain sprinter aka puncheur so he wins a lot (but loses a lot as well), famous for overcoming adversity and has the driest most hilarious interviews whilst always remaining fair play when he loses.

Cool guy, even when he never wins the Tour. Easy to cheer for as well because of everything that can go wrong and will go wrong.

I thought people loved that one. Lots of tension, Rog's death on Formigal then Rebirth on Montcalvillo. Froome organizing a rider strike over sprint stage versus mountain stage time gap calculations, Rog getting dropped on the Angliru and then the grand finale, i.e. Movistar saving Rog's Vuelta win because Spain loves Rogla and Rogla loves Spain.

The uphill sprinty boy thing has been a bigger feature in stage races and 1.pro races than the GTs

This must be a bad joke. A lot of his Vuelta wins were due to gaining time on uphill sprints and TTs.
