There's a new entry on Froome's site where he talks a bit about his lumpy start to the season. Worth a read if you're interested on some perspective on that.

I am a bit confused. According to most sites, the first riders are off already but the official site still has the countdown clock going. Must be a summer time/daylight savings confusion.

They just started a few mins ago, at 1.51 UK time.

Ticker doesn't look like it's going to be too informative.

Showers you say? Is it too late to bet on TGBM? :D

imagine a 20km downhill ITT down some major HC col.

They should do that in the Tour sometimes (just to see the Schlecks cry)

Wow, this is fast.

Best Time: 3:32 = 56,7km/H:eek::eek::eek:

Could this become the fastest prologe of all time?

Verbrugge in the Giro in 2001 was about 60 kmh or even faster.

Edit: "only" 58.9

Think they did it in the Giro circa '87. Riders complained the organisers were trying to kill them.
