Nah, there's a point. It's practically a freeroll. If someone bad gets away on the flat he can always pull them back, but that's not the case vice versa if he gets away with a good group.

I think he accidentally did a smart thing.

Maybe yes, of course if he can get a gap he's gone, but I still think it's super risky cause everyone is just gonna be looking at him. UAE was your rival here and you put them in a good position.

Best chance then is for a couple to get away and work together to reel them back.

Over the top it was Remco, Almeida, Onley, Vine, Juanpe, Romo, Martinez and then a gap towards, Rochas, Dunbar, Van Eetvelt, Both Rodriguez, Rondel.

Great opportunity for some random to get off ahead, but I think lots of riders will start to make it back after an impasse.
