Simmons' sprint was impressive. Almost 100m earlier in the wind than the three guys on the podium to get in position and finished 4th.
Yeah, he's potentially a Van Aert type of rider; you can see why Trek signed him so young. He can climb, likes hard races and has a good kick. He could potentially make the final selection at PR.

I don't think Simmons knows what he's doing. He's chasing Cerny who's like an hour down in GC but letting Eriksson go. He's lucky other teams are working for a sprint.

Fabio first, Fabbro third. If only one Lienhard, Grellier or Van Den Bossche had made the podium as well, it would have been absolutely Fab-bulous

Jakobsen was very powerful in that sprint albeit against reduced competition - A win at the Vuelta is possible - Groenewegen was dropped on a climb with around 10kms to go - You could be right about stage 1 and 2.
