No, I just like to argue with people who say dumb things. Furthermore, you made a thread with this aggressive statement: "You folks can't see within and above your biases..." So if anyone's nerve was touched, it is yours.
It's a UCI sanctioned race. Period. Get over it.
There are no other road races currently, why shouldn't it get any coverage from 'CyclingNews'?
There are no other races currently because this is the off season and no serious cycling happens on the road. So there is no need for any coverage of non-serious events by cyclingnews. Some non-serious events are of interest to a decent part of the cyclingnews audience, so they get coverage. That doesn't mean that other non-serious events also deserve to be covered.
You only have to look at the winners of this and last year to see that this race has no significant (or even mediocre) worldwide draw. I don't see how being sanctioned makes a race worthy in any way, shape or form. The quality of the field & racing is what makes an event worthy and being sanctioned merely provides incentives for riders to attend and make the race good. But the 2.2 ranking clearly didn't do this at all.
Expand your horizons, as your world view is exceedingly narrow.
Not caring about (at best) 3rd tier cycling events doesn't mean I have a narrow world view. Or is this just an attempt to insinuate that I'm racist for not caring about this particular African race?
Anyway, you refused to answer my question why you are unwilling to provide coverage of this race on the forum. Don't you think it is hypocritical to expect others to cover this event, when you could do the same job yourself? Don't you think it is worth your time? If not, why should it be worth cyclingnews' time?
