Hi all,

I've just started following this sport after having riden on a local track and loved it; why is it that the riders have shirts tucked into their shorts at the six days? Do the shirts changed depending on their placement and therefore don't fit properly?

Not all track riders do this. But I can see doing it if the jersey is loose fitting or if the jersey is a road jersey with pockets.

Local companies sponsores the teams and the organizers hands out the jerseys. Back in the days I guess it was much easier to just order every jersey in the same size. Don't think it would be to much work to get fitting jerseys to each rider these days, so they're probably just hanging on to the traditions.

Strange, second thread about this in a week.

This is the reason:

Because the shirts are from the organizer (with their sponsors), the shorts from the team?
Often pairs from 2 different teams -> same shirts, different shorts.

Just more convenient, i guess...

Exactly, the organizers provide sponsored jerseys for each of the teams, so they'll be wearing jerseys and shorts instead of skinsuits.

Riders will likely ride in shorts from the team they actually belong to.
