Lol, BMC only sign big names... but the wrong ones.

If he wants to win a GT, he has the best chance at Sky. If he then wants to be finished for his entire career, it's also the perfect choice ;)

Sometimes a change of team can kickstart a career. EBH will get more chances at BMC.

Is it just me, but does EBH not seem to be a bit like a mothers little shy kid, one who really need to be nurtured and protected in homely and secure surroundings? It always puzzled me why he never really "made it", the talent was always there, but it´s like the head doesn´t follow, he look contempt in the role as dom, which I always felt was a waste of talent, at least the last couple of years, or is it just the SKY mentality that got to him, and made him the dom he is today?

Anyway, whatever he chooses it´s the right thing for him to get to a new team, regardless which one it is.

Gut feeling or some actual rumours?

Gut feeling but Vaughters has been flirting with him on Twitter and he seems to be a perfect Garmin restoration/development project (and he'll be fairly cheap after the last 18 months).

Extension it is then, with a pay rise.....

Probably. If I'm mistaken there was a similar story/leak about Thomas potentially leaving Sky back in 2011. Two days later he extended his contract.

That would be a good fit for him. Any guesses on potential signings for Sky?

Maybe Andy Fenn. Can't break into a very deep OPQS classics squad but would get a spot with Sky. He's also a sprinter to replace EBH and possibly (Sutton).

Adam Hansen, they need someone who can stay fit and healthy for a GT or 3 every year. :D

(I guess transfers within 2014 belong in this thread)

Apologies if mentioned elsewhere without my having noticed it: Brian Bulgac has joined Giant from Parkhotel Valkenburg Continental Cycling Team from the beginning of this month.

Thomas has had good offers from 4 other teams for his services next season but is still talking to Sky, I wonder who those teams are?

OPQS? Boonen is not getting younger and Terpstras contract is also expiring if I'm not mistaken.

Taaramäe said to Estonian media that he wants to ride for WT team next year. His contract with Cofidis expires at the end of this season but if Cofidis gets more sponsors and becomes WT team next year then he could stay with them.
