Surprising would be an understatement.

Astana's rosters for this year's cobbles races:

RVV
51.BOZIC Borut
52.GAVAZZI Francesco
53.GRIVKO Andriy
54.GRUZDEV Dmitriy
55.FOMINYKH Daniil
56.IGLINSKIY Valentin
57.KAMYSHEV Arman
58.TLEUBAYEV Ruslan

PR
171.BOZIC Borut
172.FOMINYKH Daniil
173.GRUZDEV Dmitriy
174.HUFFMAN Evan
175.IGLINSKIY Valentin
176.KAMYSHEV Arman
178.TLEUBAYEV Ruslan

Perhaps they can convert Fuglsang into a cobbles Co captain before March next year.

Anyway, a big opportunity for Boom imo.

Now they just need a rainmaking machine for Paris Roubaix and they are all set :p

Good to see Rosa coming to Astana. Was not a big surprise anymore, but really glad he's coming. He can show way more he does now.

Boom gets a bigger contract and the role as the big (and only) leader of the squad in the classics. Easy choice over Lotto, where he perhaps got more and stronger support.

So Astana with Boom and Tinkov with Sagan for next years cobbles. Very interesting. But do they have the guys to support them? Especially Sagan would profit from a team with great support, because he wouldn't've to cover so many attacks himself.

From an article in flemish newspaper Nieuwsblad they report/ confirm rumours of

Sagan to Tinkof

Wiggins probably to leave Sky and might go to Garmin but because they might merger with Cannondale it's not sure...

Betancur was reported to Omega Pharma but since they resigned Martin & Terpstra might be out of $$

EBH to Tinkof
De Marchi to BMC
Talansky might leave Garmin
Lampaert might go to Trek or Omega Pharma
Steegmans to Trek
Van Asbroeck was reported to Cannondale but might sign at BMC

At OPQS : Vermote, Pauwels, De Weert still not resigned a contract
Some of these rumours really look to be out of date.

Au Revoir Bouhanni

Good luck winning races with Cofidis Nacer. We'll be sure to watch how you're doing in the Coup de France.

Going off topic a bit here, but does anyone know what happened whereby Sebastian Henao Marin suddenly started becoming known as Sebastian Henao Gomez? New information come to light about the identity of his maternal grandfather?

Sebastian Henao is Sergio cousin. He rode Giro this year.

Yes, I think we all know that, but the rider we now know as Sebastián Henao Gómez was unveiled to the world earlier in his career as Sebastián Henao Marin.

Was 'Marin' always an administrative error, or a journalistic error that spread, or has something happened in the family to make them disassociate from that surname, or what?

Lars Boom, Luis Leon Sanchez, Diego Rosa & Davide Malacarne join Astana

“Boom is a classics rider as well as a Grand Tour teammate, and won stage five this year at the Tour de France in conditions not seen on the pave in more than a decade -“

“Malacarne and Rosa are strong Italian riders who can help Fabio Aru in stage races -“

Also seemingly cofirming that Aru will stay. Really fantastic signings by Astana.

If this year is anything to go by, 1/4 will crash, 1/4 will be burned out from training and another 1/4 will have Porte like shape.
Still a decent 1/4 though if they keep Froome there.
So yeah not that impressive.
Anyway, does anyone knows how is Henao's recovery?

lol everything this posts says is win and true

Moving away from the "top 20 (GC) in the tour" plan perhaps.
I like the two Vans and Nacer will give the team more to cheer for.

He'll ride all the big races he wants to, even with a sprint train at his disposal. Paris-Nice, all the Belgian classics, Dauphiné, Tour, Vuelta. Any problem cannot be found

Well probably he´ll miss out on MSR again out of the races he likes, but I guess he can live with that.

Anyway, I sincerely hope he will do better than Demare.

Indeed, very strong signings. They are building something over there and it seems more and more that Nibali chose his team well after 2012.

Good yes, Fantastic though, not really.

Lulu is past his best. Rosa had an abmysal season. And Malacarne is a decent helper, nothing more, nothing less.

Boom is great addittion though. Very solid signings, but nothing mind blowing.

‏@olegtinkov 3m Dear @tinkoff_saxo fans, do you want me to close the deal with Peter Sagan? If i get 1000 retweets, i will do it!

Tinkov being shameless. Shock of the century.

And Astana are looking good.
