Transfers and Rumours 2016 > 2017

VanMarcke will likely leave LottoJumbo because :
- Lotto hasn't got the money to keep him
- he lacks support he asked more than once and don't get it enough
- his brother was fired from the staff, they only would keep him if VanMarcke would pay his salary
- there's a conflict between the trainers of the team and his personsal trainer

The most chance has Trek since :
- he's cheaper than Degenkolb, GVA, Sagan, etc.
- Demol knows him very well and has the knowledge to win RVV, PR etc.
- they want a second rider as leader, Stuyven will be their first leader from 2018 onwards (and this suits VanMarcke very well)

Just for a change of pace it would be good to see what Sagan could do with one strong team mate, like I thought Moser could be with his win in SB a few years back - but that never amounted to anything.

Don't see him at Etixx unless there is a major overhaul, too many cooks...

Sky could make sense with Stannard, Rowe, Puccio and Moscon.

Of course Sky can offer a great supporting cast and a big cheque, but it would mean playing second fiddle to the GC boys in too many races. Sagan should go somewhere where he will be the number one priority.

I reckon Sky will swoop and get Sagan. Can get classic victories and stage wins at the TDF.

So Sky could target 3/4 jerseys.

If Sagan joined Sky I would question how much longer he would compete for green rather than yellow.

I don;t see Sagan at SKY either...They are stage racing team plus they have their own very good cobbles riders to develop

And I don't think they will pay Sagan that amount of money or/and ride specialised

My money is on someone to buy Tinkoff licience, Tinkoff staying or the Dubai prince buying Tinkoff

I also think BMC is a good match for Sagan. Especially if Greg leaves. Would be good for BMC as well.

Agreed. With Caruso, De Marchi and Oss it would also be like a mini Cannondale reunion. Would be interesting to see what they could do if GvA stayed as well.

And Quinziato!

I agree with this.

There should be a punishment for PR companies announcing new cycling teams, launching a fancy website and then never updating cycling fans. AKA whatever happened to We Are Wales?

This is what happened to We Are Wales http://cyclingtips.com/2015/12/dyna...ise-dyball-keeps-focus-to-win-tour-of-bright/

Also why should PR companies be punished? They are hired to announce a team and build hype, it's not the PR company that is at fault when a team folds, it's on the management
