Twitter hashtags for US pro road events

Saw this helpful post listing a full season's worth of hashtags to use on Twitter when discussing pro road races on the US domestic calendar: http://www.podiuminsight.com/2011/02/26/twitter-hashtags-for-races/.

Seems to me like a good idea. The UCI should get an intern to assign hashtags to every sanctioned event. But what would be the default language to guide in abbreviating? lol

Seems to me like a great idea for those who want to discuss pro racing via Twitter. Rather than fight about radios, the UCI should actually partner w/ media like Sporza to create a standardized list of tags like this, which would consume next to no resources to develop, and then propagate it out to the fans, who would benefit. Small thing, minor detail, but would actually be something to enhance the experience of following the sport for those using social media.
