two part puncture question

i figured these didnt deserve individual threads but

1, what do you guys do with tires that have had punctures that has resulted in holes big enough for something to get into, do they go straight to the trainer pile or is there a way of fixing em? i sorta dont want to get rid of fairly new tires coz of such a small but frustratingly big enough hole.

and

2, does anyone know a cheep place online that sells decent quality glue-less patches, $10 for a pack of 5 at the local bike shop seems fairly extravagent

How big is that hole? will super glue close it up?

I'd just pay the price if I needed a patch. Acutally I'd replace the tube and pick up a cheap patch kit later and patch when I have time.
