I like the clip of him and Lance hugging in the Tour--I just wish you had a clip of the time he tried to hug Lance in the colorado restaurant after his testimony and interview. Of course the FBI would also like to see that clip.

what's the blank skinsuit when he is on the TT bike? Is that after the fall? The Fuji is from his feelgood 60 minutes thing. Not much footage from the team he rode for the majority of his career. Guy was a great racer.

No sympathy. I know people who where on the US national team pre-postal. Rumors abounded then which seemly have played out as highly probable. I will never buy the "Lance my made me do it" spin.

He was once one of my favorite riders, but after the 60 minutes piece I lost all respect for him. The coming clean part could be seen as admirable, but my prior experiences have led me to a dubious concern about the whole affair.

It's kinda sad...

True it's sad, but I also have no sympathy even if he was a good guy. The clip title "the rise and fall of tyler hamilton" was all about the rise. It should have had something about the unborn twin and final admission of doping to document the "fall". But we all know that, so maybe just an explosion sound bite at the end would work.

it was that danish documentary about csc and taylor at 2003 tour.epic.great stuff.you could see there how much he was suffering and then the joy after bayonne stage,i would recommend that documentary.

i don't judge anyone but i still think that snitching your own is wrong and hamilton unfortunately did it.

Lying to the Feds is better?

Perjury is seldom a smart move

don't forget bullying, intimidation of riders, bribery of a federation, forging a TUE and intimidation of a federal witness to name but a few...

He's never said that. All the other dopers on the US national team were talking about Tyler doping....interesting.

Did you know the 5th amendment does not apply to Grand Juries ? Greg Anderson spent two years in jail for refusing to testify in the Bonds investigation. Would you spend two years in jail to protect Lance or anyone for that matter ?

So you'd tell the Feds to FO and spend two years in jail.....I think it's a lot easier to say that in an Internet forum than to actually do it. Is this the advice you would give to George ? Forget about the wife and kids your loyalty should be to the scumbag Lance !

Life is not a criminal gang or prison for most people, including cyclists, and the rules of prison or gangs don't apply.

At one time (and maybe still), joining a pro cycling team might have meant agreeing to lie, if need be, to cycling officials, the public, the press, and the sponsors. And if you got busted, it was understood you took the rap without implicating others. I can honestly see all that being expected of a pro cyclist or other athlete. (Not that I agree with it.)

But nowhere in the pro cycling Omerta is it stated or implied, or expected or accepted, that when the police coming knocking with a criminal indictment, you will perjure yourself (or refuse to testify to a GJ) and go to prison. They don't sign up for that. No athlete should have to be a criminal for their sport or their leader, and expecting them to is just insane.

i think this is the Lance rule, but you dont her about it till his 10 lawyers come knocking on your door early morning threatening to ruin your life.

Yep JensAttack joining a pro cycling team is like joining a gang of dopers and you'll die for the gang, but the leaders dont and they get to wack all the lackeys before the finger points at them and start a new gang with new dopers. Gang life!
